The Program

The time has come to transform school libraries into vibrant hubs of learning and inspiration. In many Indian schools, the library period remains the sole opportunity for students to access books. While borrowing privileges are available, they are often underutilized, limiting reading time to just 35-40 minutes per week.

Readers Libration Private Limited is committed to changing this narrative. Our transformative program aims to cultivate a love of reading among students and significantly increase their weekly reading time. By fostering a reading culture, we're empowering students to become informed and critical thinkers.

In today's world, inundated with fake news, the ability to discern fact from fiction is more crucial than ever. A lack of reading and limited knowledge often contributes to the spread of misinformation. By promoting reading, we're working towards a better, safer, and more informed world.

Objective

To transform school libraries and provide students with access to diverse resources and trained librarians in order to enhance their reading experience.

During our research, we were able to identify certain problem areas associated with students. These problems forced us to think deeply and create a solution, that can be applied nationwide, with easily available resources. Following problem areas were identified:
 Habit
Reduced habit of reading printed books amongst children
 Addiction
Increasing screen-time and the addiction of gadgets
 Fake News
Growing market of fake news due to absent reading habit
 Affordability
Quality books out of reach of schools due to affordability
 The 'Kick'
Books no longer providing the 'Kick' that mobile games and reels provide
 ASMR & Dopamine
ASMR+Dopamine sources shifted from printed books to social media and Mobiles
